The Skovby #11 dining table has a unique extension mechanism with two hidden folding leaves, which are easily unfolded and make room for six to twelve persons.
Also available with a tabletop in laminate
The dining table is also available with a tabletop in laminate - the Skovby High Pressure Silk Laminate. The laminate has an incredibly hardwearing, silk matt surface and is very practical and easy to clean. The silk laminate dining tabletop is white and is combined with a lacquered or soap-treated oak base.
The year's best Danish design
The Skovby #11 dining table is among the year's best Danish design 2009 in one of the largest Danish newspapers, Berlingske Tidende:
'The dining table of the year is a good example of function and aesthetics going up into a higher unity. It was designed by architect Per Hånsbæk for Skovby. There is room for 6-12 people around the dining table, depending on how many of the hidden extension leaves you use. The dining table top has a rectangular shape with sloping, wedge-shaped legs adding a unique dimension to the dining table. The dining table top and the base complete each other and create an interesting sculptural whole.'
